Woodshed for iPhone

Woodshed Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

Woodshed is a music practice app for iPhone. It is built so that your music, recordings and practice history stay on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Woodshed has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not collect, store or sell any personal information.

What stays on your iPhone

• Audio and the microphone. When you record, tune or use the practice coach, the sound is processed on your iPhone and is not sent anywhere.
• Photos. When you choose a photo of sheet music, Woodshed reads it on your iPhone. It can only see the photos you pick.
• Your pieces and practice log are saved in the app on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.

Connecting to your own Mac (optional)

If you also run Woodshed on a Mac and choose to connect your iPhone to it on your own Wi-Fi, the files you send for transcription go directly to your Mac. They are not sent to us or to anyone else.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not see your payment details.

Children

Woodshed collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
